About My Journey

I’m Nicole Moore, author of historical romance and dark fantasy, including Shattered Secrets and The Light of Darkness. My stories bring together love, history, and the supernatural.

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, I now divide my time between Melbourne and Cairns, Australia. My husband and I have six gorgeous kids—our own real-life Brady Bunch.

I've been writing stories for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first short story in 6th grade.  When I was 14, my grandmother gave me her collection of Harlequin Romance, and I have been hooked ever since. 

I'm as much an avid reader as I am a writer, and I read every day. My favorites are historical fantasy and romance.

In college, I worked on the school newspaper and studied editing, with an emphasis on fact-checking. I wrote my first novel, Paradise, at 22. Marriage and raising a family put my writing on hold for several years, but I eventually returned to the stories I wanted to tell.
